A dimly lit flame danced atop a candle in the evening breeze. It was all that separated those in the gathering from complete darkness on that moonless night. The Storyteller seemed to float above the fog-covered ground, taking a seat in front of his already captivated audience. Four young men, or perhaps they would be called boys in our world, settled themselves in anticipation of the fable that was about to be woven into their minds like a loom that slowly gives birth to a new exquisite rug.

"Where is Nestor?" the Storyteller unexpectedly grumbled.

One of the young men, Elian, pointed into the misty eastern darkness. "He is in the tower, preparing for a test. He wanted you to know he's sorry he could not make it tonight."

"If only he had known," remarked the Storyteller.

"Known what, Storyteller?"

"The story of Babak, the lost dervish."

Here are a few new things that you can expect on the web site in the next week or so:

1. Character/Location database:  We will have profiles of all of the characters, locations, and terminology.  This will aide me in future books and you in whatever fan-fiction you create.  It will be a little touchy at first because the database will be taken from my notes and sketches.  Hopefully, it will improve.  We will accept art from website members.  So feel free to draw characters, locations, etc.

2. Community:  We now have a community setup where you can register and have extra benefits.  Once we have more readers, we'll develop a forum, but that is probably not needed now.

3. Fan-fiction:  This is already live.  If you register, you'll be able to post your writing on our site.

4. Maps:  Yeah, I know this should already be up.  I have the map that I used when I was writing, but it's not very impressive.  So, I want to take time to make it better.  As soon as it's done, I'll post it.  I promise.  (God willing).
